December Newsletter

Welcome to our final Newsletter of 2021 and my first as your new Chairman, no pressure there then??
Obviously we will all miss Lynn but she goes off to the next chapter in her life with our Thanks and Very Best Wishes.

Right what has been happening during November?
Early on the Railway Inn provided us with a very enjoyable and popular Coffee Morning where £321 was raised
As you may have already seen the Holland-America Cruise Ship company donated a wonderful £3,500 to TLF as a “Thank You” to the kindness shown to their crews during their stay in the Bay.
The Chart Room held a “Roaring 20s” evening last week and donated a lovely £625 to us, so many thanks to Bob and his team.

As you know TLF never rests on its laurels and Barbara is doing another on-line Jigsaw. Another coastal town and those that guess the place will be entered into a draw to win a bottle of single malt whisky (just in time for Xmas). Remember just £5 for 20 pieces.  The game goes live on Monday 6 Dec through to Sunday 12th.  Watch out for the link to that.

Coffee Mornings continue with our December one being at Brixham Yacht Club (BYC) on Tuesday 14 December so please do come along and support that, both run from 10 – Noon.  On 12 January we are at the Berry Head Hotel, so please put that in your diaries.

“Lose it for the Lifeboats”; this is about to go “live” and we are encouraging members of gyms, Fitness Clubs etc to pledge £5 to lose 5 lbs of weight after the Christmas extravagance.  Nothing to stop any of us having a go, is there ??

RNLI Carol Concert; this is almost upon us and takes place next Friday 10 Dec at All Saints Church starting at 7 p.m.

Right what have our Crews been getting up to this month?  Well things were, thankfully somewhat quieter than October.
ALB had 3 shouts, making a total to date of 44
ILB had just the 1 shout bringing their total to 64
