Thank You For Your Support Meet some of our fantastic fundraisers
Josh Spear from the 6th Torbay Sea Scouts ran the Torbay Half Marathon on 12th September to raise funds for the RNLI. He finished the course in 2hrs 15mins, complete with his left arm in a plaster cast! You can find out more about why Josh is fundraising, and also make a donation via his Just Giving Site ..
John Wilkes has made this fantastic 1/72 scale model of a Severn Class ALB, and has now set-up a JustGiving page for the RNLI which will run until the end of August 2021. In return for your donations, at the end of two months a lucky person who has donated will be selected at random to receive the enclosed model he built. The model is specifically of our Torbay ALB based at Brixham, heading out to sea in a fierce storm.

Another special visit to Torbay Station today, this time it was from Devon Lodge 1138 who very kindly donated £250 to Torbay Lifeboat.
Here is the photo of their visit alongside Torbay Station’s current relief Lifeboat ‘Duke of Kent’.
Pictured is John Bird – Worshipful Master Devon Lodge 1138, Tony Lamar – Charity Steward, with our TLF Chair and RNLI Engagement Officer for Torbay Station.
Our thanks to Devon Lodge 1138 for your support. We had a special visit to Torbay Station yesterday (23/04).
You may remember that lurcher dog Florrie was rescued by Torbay ILB on 7th March.
Her owner Vanessa was so thankful that Florrie was safely rescued, she completed a sponsored walk and raised £1,037 for Torbay Lifeboat.
Here is Vanessa outside Torbay Station, presenting her fundraising to a Torbay Crew member, and our TLF Chair presenting Vanessa with a ‘Thank You’ Certificate. Great fundraising Vanessa, thank you for supporting Torbay Lifeboat.
We are so pleased to see that Florrie has made a full recovery.
Costcutter in Pillar Avenue, Brixham, has just given us £578.02!
This is 50% of their 2020 carrier bag levy!
Your support of RNLITorbay is very much appreciated. Inter-Line Building Supplies are proud to support RNLITorbay We are extremely proud to support the RNLI for their great work with a donation of £2500. The Torbay crew have been out over 100 times this year. This year has been a tough year for them to raise funds with fewer people donating due to the COVID-19 situation. If you would like to help with a donation please go to the following link.👇https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/rnli-tlf ‘DanceFit’ with Emma Randall would usually be visiting her home town of Brixham, to take part in the Pirate Festival over the May Bank Holiday weekend. As the 2021 Festival has been cancelled, Emma decided to offer an online ‘Dressed as a Pirate’ Zumba class instead. Emma and her Zumba pirates raised £25 + £6.25 gift aid for RNLITorbay
Thank you all! Local group ‘Seaside Adventurers’ walked the May Day Mile on Friday 14th May and raised a magnificent £404.51!! A cheque was presented to RNLI Torbay for £404.51 from Seaside Adventurers, raised by doing the Mayday Mile on 14 May. Ryan and Danielle at Vaughan’s Bar in Torquay are doing a great job for RNLI Torbay! Their box contained almost £82 when our volunteers called in to empty it. Congratulations to Peter Boulton in completing his first Triathlon at the age of 65 and fastest in his age group. Excellent fundraising on our behalf. After his sponsored walk from Torquay to Brixham in June, Adam Vigars and his family visited Torbay Lifeboat Station today to present his fundraising cheque for £317.50. He also got to meet with Torbay Lifeboat’s deputy coxswain James, crew member Barney and TLF Chair Lynn. Well Done Adam, your support is hugely appreciated. Evie Ritson spent lockdown baking cakes and selling them to raise money for the RNLI. She even brought some of her home-made bakes with her to give to the crew when she visited. We are sure they enjoyed them with an afternoon cup of tea!
Evie raised a fantastic £155. Here she is outside the Lifeboat Station with two of our Torbay Crew. Well Done Evie and thank you!
