Well June looks like it’s going to be a month of mega activity.Firstly a reminder of tomorrow’s Coffee Morning at the Berry Head Hotel 10.00 – 11.30
We then have an extra event planned:-
“Birdcage RNLI Fun Night”
New manager Stevie at the Birdcage is planning an evening of mixed entertainment with us on Friday 24 May. The evening will feature “Guess the number of Jelly Beans in a jar”, “Round the World Darts” at 6.30, followed by a Quiz at 7.30 and a Raffle at 8.45.
Following that we will have music from one of our local bands.
We would appreciate donations for the Raffle please!!
Coffee Morning @ The Manor Inn, Galmpton – Wednesday 5 June 10am – 11.30:
As usual £3 on the door plus Raffle and Cake Stall, if the weather is what it was last year we will enjoy the lovely atmosphere of the Pub Garden.
“Bucket Collection” @ B&Q in Torquay:
Saturday 8 June sees us return to the DIY Store with our buckets and contactless machines 10am – 4pm please contact Peter on 855329 or by mail if you can spare an hour (or more) helping with the collection.
“Charity Tuesday – Fish Quay Market”
Tuesday 11 June we will be holding our popular Market under the Old Fish Quay in Brixham from 10am – 4pm.
Stalls will be Crafts, Books, Tombola, Second Scents, Bric-a-Brac, Jigsaws, Cakes/Jams and Souvenirs.
Volunteers required for these Stalls please, not expecting all-day commitment just a few hours each again, please let Peter know your availability.
“Afternoon Cream Teas @ Berry Head Hotel”:
Once again we are holding this popular event in the lovely Mulberry Room at Berry Head. Devon Cream Tea with Tea/Coffee and once again Bev, Chris and now Jim of “Planet Uke” will be providing the musical entertainment together with a musical Quiz.
Event runs from 2pm-4pm and “tickets” in advance are £12 from Peter 855329 (sorry, no pay on the door). Please make cheques payable to “RNLI – Torbay”.
Paignton Craft Market Souvenir Stalls:
This year’s Markets start on Friday 14 June through to 26 July. Sessions are 4pm – 6pm and 6pm – 8pm with 2 volunteers required for each Session. Please let Peter know if you can run one of these Sessions.
“Quiz at Brixham Cricket Club”
Tuesday 18 June sees us return to BCC for another of our Quizes. Teams of 6 (max) £3 per head Raffle on the night. Food available from 6pm. Quiz starts @ 8pm. To book food phone Charlie on 0794 962385.
“Proms in the Garden” – Sunday 20th June. Event starts @ 7pm (Doors open @ 6pm)
Our 200th Anniversary year sees the return of this very, very popular event in the Walled Garden @ Berry Head Hotel. Once again, the Concert Band from the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth and Soprano Donna-Marie Broomfield will provide the musical entertainment, whilst we relax in the spectacular surroundings with a nice “glass of something” and perhaps some food from the Bar-B-Que.
In case of inclement weather, we will be in the shelter of the Mulberry room.
Tickets £25 are NOW available ONLY via the on-line ticket office.
