“New Year Party” – Brixham Rugby Club – Wednesday 8 January 2025 – 2 p.m. – 4.30 p.m.;
We welcome the New Year in with our usual Afternoon Buffet Tea (with musical entertainment) at the Rugby Club.
Noreen and Wendy have chosen a 70s “theme” so, if you still have them, dust off your platform shoes and flares and expect things like Black Forest Gateaux to be on the menu.
Bev, Chris & Jim (“Planet Uke”) will follow that theme with a musical session to follow our Tea.
Tickets, £10 will be available at the Shop & Kiosk or direct from Anne Thorp in person at our next Coffee Morning (BYC on 4 December) or by post to 7 Leader Close, TQ5 9FQ, and we’ll deliver your Tickets. Payment by Cash or Cheque (Payable to “R.N.L.I.” please)
Any dietary requirements/intolerances, just let Anne know when you book.
Social Media Officer:
Had the sad news that Vanessa Wade-Coates (Ness) who took over the role from Sparks, is finding it difficult to balance her full-time job and a health issue with keeping our Face Book page up to date. As many of you appreciate social media is proving essential for organisations like us to meet public requests and for us to effectively spread the news about our activities. Ness will carry on until end of January, for which I am very grateful, but if you think you or someone you know, could take over, please do contact Ness (v_wade@sky.com) to discuss.
Souvenirs – Scala Hall -Saturday 7 December 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.:
Just a reminder that we will have our Souvenir Stall there, if anyone can spare an hour to help, it would be appreciated.
Christmas Lunch – Berry Head Hotel – Wed 11 December – 12.30 (for 1 p.m.)
Last call for this year’s get-together, Anne is receiving plenty of requests, so it promises to be a great event but, cut-off date for reservations is Wed 4 December, so please don’t hesitate. Menus previously circulated but if you have “mis-laid” yours just ask me for another….but hurry!!
