One Crew New Year Newsletter 01012025:
Well first off, may I wish you all a very Happy New Year as I write this on a rather wet and windy Brixham morning.
Attached is the Events Programme for January – April 2025 together with a little look ahead to early May, on account of Pirate Weekend. As you can see, we have a fairly, gentle beginning to the year before our Fundraising Events really get started (so enjoy the coming months in relative relaxation).
Just 2 Events to mention:-
New Year Party – 8 January – Brixham Rugby Club; still time to book your ticket if you haven’t done so already, almost 50 party-goers have done, so it looks like another success. Noreen & Wendy have chosen a 70’s theme and Bev, Chris & Jim (Planet Uke) will follow on likewise with the musical entertainment. Contact Anne for tickets but be quick.
Bucket Collection – Saturday 25 January @ Astley Park: As they did last season, Brixham Rugby Club have once again kindly invited us to carry out a half-time collection around the ground. Over £500 was donated last time so it is certainly a worthwhile event, especially if you like watching Rugby Union.
8 collectors should be sufficient to spread our collecting around and we already have 5 so, if you fancy an afternoon watching 2 good rugby teams please do contact me.
Vacancy: Social Media Officer; Unfortunately due to work pressures, Ness Wade-Coates feels unable to carry on managing our Facebook page so if you, or someone you know would like to consider the role please let me know. Full RNLI training by the Media Team will be provided. May I thank Ness for the work she has carried out during her time in post, social media is such a key part of our Fundraising efforts.
