One Crew Newsletter 18122025:
Well as 2025 reaches its last couple of weeks our Fundraising looks to have been very successful thanks to YOU. It will be a short time into 2026 before we know the actual total raised as details need to be verified via Poole but we’re keeping fingers crossed.
Events – 2025:
Well, I would have said, “That’s it, it’s over” however this weekend our friend Paul O’Brien and his “Just Sing” choir will be performing on our behalf outside Sainsbury’s at the Willows, so if you are over that way, please “put a copper in the bucket (or onto the contactless machine”).
And then on Boxing Day Brixham Yacht Club hold their “Auction of unwanted Christmas presents” in aid of us, it’s great fun (especially as the bar sales help bidders lose their “inhibitions” about parting with their money!!), and there is a special Brixham RUFC match ball as the final item, so come down and enjoy the fun.
Events – 2026:
Our New Year Lunch Party kicks things of on Wed 7 Jan @ Brixham Rugby Club from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Noreen and her Team will provide us with some great food and the “Harbour Buoys” will provide some great musical entertainment, and you? Any talent out there for stand-up performances, ditties, monologues ?? Ticket just £10 available in Shop or Kiosk or we can get them to you as both venues are on reduced winter hours right now so don’t miss out just call us on 01803 855329 or reply to this post.
Saturday 17 Jan we will be at Brixham Rugby Club once again only this time to hold a Half Time Bucket Collection during the local derby game against Exmouth, volunteers please contact me.
Tuesday 20 Jan 10 a.m. – 11.30 a.m. Coffee Morning @ the Bullers Arms, The Quay Brixham
Usual attractions Raffle, Home-made Cakes etc, just £3 on the Door
Right it just leaves me to Thank You ALL for a great year of Fundraising and friendship and may I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas and may it be a quiet one for our Lifeboat Crews.
Take Care
Peter
