Recent Events:
Coffee Morning @ Liberty’s, The Quay, Brixham.
As I mentioned in our last Newsletter Maxine and her Team at Liberty’s wanted to do something to say Thank You to our Crews, especially in the light of the Event on Christmas Day, and we had a great time raising £204 on the day.
Coffee Morning @ The Boathouse, Marine Drive, Paignton.
Our good friends Fletch and wife Shelley hosted us once more on Tuesday and the place was rammed. I was on the Door and it was all I could do to keep up with the paying customers. Fletch was hoping to beat last years “total” and we did just that, taking £394.50, so Well Done everyone.

Wednesday 11th March CM @ The Cimon Guesthouse, Abbey Road, Torquay 10 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.
Our good friends and Supporters Julia and Jamie look forward to meeting us again and hosting our next get together. Raffle, Cakes (donations Welcome) just £3 on the Door and plenty of parking at the rear of the guesthouse.
Wednesday 18th March; Talk @ Brixham Yacht Club 2 p.m. – 3.30 p.m.
Local Historian John Risdon will entertain us in his inimitable manner when he presents “Galmpton & Churston – The Home Front 1939-1945”. £5 on the Door, food available from Midday, please contact the Bar on 01803 853332 to book a table.
New Committee Member:
I am thrilled to welcome Hannah Beaumont as our new Social Media Secretary. Hannah may be well known to many of you due to her environmental exploits (see the recent Brixham Signal for details). Hannah is not a newcomer to Fundraising and Volunteering and also being a lot younger than most of us, is very adept at social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram etc so you can look forward to some interesting blogs (I think that’s what they are called) !
Supporter Subscriptions !!
Despite a number of reminders there are still 49 Supporters who have yet to pay their 2026 Subs. Anne would be very grateful to receive your £5 subs as soon as possible please.
You can either hand it in at the Kiosk or Shop at Kings Quay (in an envelope with your name clearly marked on it) or to her at 7 Leader Close TQ5 9FQ. If paying by cheque please make it payable to Torbay RNLI.
Paying by Standing Order is the best way and we have attached the Form to this Newsletter for onward transmission to your Bank, however outstanding 2026 subs do need to be paid by cash.
If you are unsure whether you have paid or not, call Anne (855329).
If you no longer wish to remain on our Supporters’ List please let Anne know so she can amend the List accordingly.
