One Crew Newsletter 06052026:
Well a bit of a soggy Pirates weekend, (although the Shop sold out of Ponchos and brollies, just showing that every cloud has a silver lining), the stalwarts on Cover the Flag and the Sunday Stalls brought in £867.40 (£433.10 CTF & £434.30 Stalls), spookily very similar!! So well done those volunteers who braved the elements.
This weekend we take ourselves over to the Offshore & Bays Food and Music Festival in Princess Gardens Torquay, where we hope Mother Nature will be a bit kinder and give us some sunshine to attract the punters. Venue is open 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday.
Tuesday 12th May – Coffee Morning at Berry Head Hotel 10 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.
Always a warm welcome to be had at BHH and one of our more popular Coffee Mornings, Raffle & Cakes Stalls (donations welcome following a Cake “sell out” at the Sunday Stalls), £3 on the Door and plenty of social intercourse on the menu.
Monday & Tuesday 18th & 19th Bucket Collection @ Morrisons 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Volunteers please contact Angela Lucas 01803 852242 or Nige or Peter
Wednesday 20 May – Lifeboat AGM – Cancelled until later in the year.
Sunday 31st May “Going the Extra Mile” 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Local personal fitness trainer Kevin Smith will be running the “Breakwater Marathon” all in aid of Torbay Lifeboats. Do come down and support him and if you can spare an hour helping on the Feeding/First Aid “station” that will be even better
Wednesday 17th May 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Afternoon Cream Teas with Raffle and Musical Entertainment @ Berry Head Hotel.
I have just “jumped” a couple of Events on your Programme just to say that Tickets (£12) for this Event are in the Shop & the Kiosk but also, Angela Osborne will have them at BHH Coffee Morning.
Until next time
Take Care
Peter
