Saturday 5 December @ the Constitutional Club (formerly Conservative Club)
Just a “heads up” on this special new event. This year on 6 December marks the 50th Anniversary of one of Torbay Lifeboats finest rescues when the “Edward Bridges” responded to a Greek-owned cargo ship “Lyrma”. Only 3 of the crew that night remain with us, Keith Bower (Acting Coxswain), John Hunkin (Assistant Mechanic) and Michael Mills.  For their skills and bravery in the rescue of the ship’s crew Keith was awarded the very rare, RNLI’s Gold Medal for Gallantry and Bronze Medals to John and Michael.
Michael is a member at the Club and we plan to hold a social event there on the 5th December (they are closed on Sundays), details still to be confirmed but current and past Crew, Fundraisers, Water Safety personnel are all invited. More information when we have it.

Take Care

Peter
