Due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, we are again holding a ‘virtual’ style TLF AGM this year. We have always held our AGM in March, but with the improved RNLI systems now in place, which enable confirmation of our TLF accounts by the end of January, we can bring our AGM date forward.
Our AGM this year will take place on Monday 8th February, when you will receive the TLF Chair’s report, TLF Treasurer’s report and other relevant detail usually covered within a normal TLF AGM agenda. These reports will be sent to all our members via their preferred TLF contact method – email or post.
If you have any ‘Matters Arising’ which you would like to raise as part of our AGM please advise by Friday 5th February at the very latest.
Congratulations to the Co-Op in Fore Street Brixham who were our top collection box location in the Bay during 2020.
They collected an absolutely amazing £1,036.96.
Thank you to all their staff and customers.

We welcome new volunteers for general fundraising and in our two Brixham

Father Christmas made an early delivery this week after clicking the mouse to launch RNLI Torbay Station’s new website. Packed with all the essential info on our RNLI Torbay crew, our lifeboats, the news on latest shouts, water safety and the latest on what TLF have been up to.
Our huge thanks to Julie and Derek Hore who designed the new site and to all the our Torbay volunteers who helped behind the scenes.
Here is our very own Father Christmas bringing a laptop displaying the new RNLI Torbay website from the all-weather lifeboat up to the Station to show the volunteer crew.
Torbay Lifeboat Fundraisers annual fundraising week is scheduled to begin on Monday 9th August 2021, culminating in our Torbay Lifeboat Station Seaside Special event on 15th August, These dates are subject to Covid restrictions and will be confirmed nearer the time via this website.

The RNLI Torbay Lifeboat Fundraising Team (TLF) work throughout the year to raise
funds to support the RNLI and the two Torbay lifeboats. An ALB Station costs in excess
of £215,000 a year to run so TLF’s fundraising is vital to support RNLI operations.
Since the first relaxation of Corona-19 lockdown the RNLI lifeboats have been even busier than in a normal year. The expenses of operating and maintaining the lifeboat fleet and organising and supporting the lifeguards training and rollout do not go away. Fundraising events have practically ceased. You can maintain your support of the charity by using this link. We need your support now more than ever.
