Tasked to assist Coastguards, a climber was spotted stationary off the Guillemot colony 50m from the top.
He had been observed by a member of the public for 30 mins not moving, they called the Coastguard who alerted the local Coastguards who were in attendance but could not see or communicate with the climber.
ALB arrived on scene to see two climbers, they hailed them and established that they were safe and in control, just resting.
It was suggested that they call the Coastguard on 999 to explain that they were safe.
Once that had been established the life boat was stood down.
Well meaning false alarm with good intent.
