Launched to assist a 12m yacht ‘Dream Alice’ with two persons on board, which was caught up on the weather buoy about a mile outside Torquay marina.
The yacht was taken under tow by the Torquay Harbour launch ‘Oscar 4’, heading upwind to help bring the buoy rope and floats to the surface.
The ALB followed close behind ready to release the rope from around the keel and rudder of thr yacht, but fortunately it came free as the vessel was towed.
The yacht then got underway and continued their passage.
