Launched to assist three persons on 3.5mtr RIB broken down off Livermead, it had been drifting for over half hour.
First informants spotted the boat from beach and reported to Coastguards.
ILB on the scene at 19.46 and after checking the casualties, took the RIB under tow to Paignton Harbour where boat was launched.
During the tow it was noted by Crew of ILB that one of the casualties was suffering and very cold.
At 19.53 the Crew decided to ditch the RIB and transfer the casualties to the ILB and take them to an organised awaiting ambulance at Torquay.
The ILB reached the slipway and handed over the casualties.
ILB left Torquay to retrieve RIB which had drifted away; placed it back under tow to Paignton Harbour safely.
