In view of the strong offshore winds, the decision was taken with by the Cox to launch our ALB.
ALB launched at 1403, proceeded to Preston Sands, recovered the two paddleboarders at 1415, (neither had buoyancy aids), and then proceeded to Thatcher Rock, arriving at 1428.
Launched ‘Y’ boat to recover two adults & 1 child (all wearing buoyancy aids) from Thatcher Rock, and transferred all five casualties to Torquay Harbour to be handed over to the Coastguard Rescue Team.
