Alert first raised by an informant that had been watching two pairs of people about 1/2 a mile off Preston Sands and had lost sight of both groups, so the ILB was launched.
Coastguard Rescue Team had made contact with the informant and reported one pair of teenagers had made it back to shore and the other pair were heading towards Torquay.
The ILB Crew found them and towed them to Preston Sands where the Coastguard Rescue Team gave them some advice as there were no life jackets worn.
ALB then returned to station at 19.47
