Solent Coastguard paged and radioed Torbay Lifeboat station following a report of two young children on paddleboard off Paignton Beach [Preston end] with their mother in the water trying to recover them. ILB went straight to launch at 11.06am.
Upon arriving at the scene, our volunteer Crew discovered that all three were already being helped ashore by others. Our ILB team remained with mother and children until Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) arrived, whereupon we were stood down.
ILB returned to station at 12.00pm.
