Shout called in to HM Coastguard by a sailing yacht, who reported a ‘dingy in the middle of the Bay with three people in the water’. No GPS positioning given.
Our ALB launched at 4:22pm and soon spotted the incident, which turned out to be a jet ski with mechanical issues.
By the time we arrived, the riders had already themselves called (by mobile) for assistance and a boat had responded and recovered the people out of the water.
Our ALB escorted them all back to the entrance of Brixham harbour and no further assistance given.
