Launched following a number of 999 calls reporting a kayak seen to be in trouble off Meadfoot beach.
A person appeared to have capsized into the water 30 metres into the sea and was struggling to get back aboard.
On the way there, we were radioed by Coastguard who informed us that several members of the public had entered the water and successfully assisted kayak and owner safely back to the beach.
ILB was stood down at 8.47am, returned to station and was back on service by 9.12am.
