Both boats launched to assist two persons in the water off north end of Goodrington beach.
A couple were sat on the steps at the north end of Goodrington beach considering if it was too rough to swim when the lady got washed off the steps into rough water.
Her partner threw her a life ring which she struggled with, so her husband jumped in to assist, also two other wetsuit clad persons assisted who all initially struggled.
Eventually they were pulled ashore by others.
