Tasked by Solent Coastguard to render assistance to a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat), which was being used as a recreational dive boat.
The RIB had suffered engine failure off the Orestone on the north side of the Bay. Four people (‘casualties’) were involved, two divers who were still under the water and two crew operating the RIB.
Our crew took the divers onto the ALB to ensure both were fit and well and rather than leave the RIB as a drifting hazard, towed the stricken vessel, with both crew still aboard, back to Brixham
We were involved in the shout last night picking up 2 divers stranded in the sea near Thatchers Rock
