Both boats launched yesterday after a report from Solent Coastguard that an emergency position-indicating radiobeacon (EPIRB) was going off 350m east of Brixham breakwater.After an extensive search nothing untoward was found and both boats were stood down.

Incident Date26-03-2024Launch Instruct15:35Lifeboat UsedALB Location of CasualtyBrixham harbour area. Tasked whilst already on exercise to assist a broken down sailing vessel just 200m off the end of Brixham breakwater. The yacht with one person on board was successfully towed back into Brixham harbour and put alongside the pontoon.
