Launched to carry out a shoreline search between Ansteys Cove and Maidencombe for a vulnerable person that was threatening self harm. The crew were joined by Teignmouth lifeboat but nothing found and both crews were stood down.

He was recovered safely in smooth conditions but a strong tide was running.He was part of a group of youngsters ‘tomb-stoning’

ALB SHOUT 14: 07-07-2023

Whilst out on exercise, the ALB was tasked to an 11m yacht  ¼ of a mile south of Berry Head with engine failure and drifting towards rocks with two people onboardA tow was quickly attached and the yacht was safely towed to Brixaham harbour.

Incident Date05-07-2023Launch Instruct18:04Lifeboat UsedILB Location of CasualtyGoodrington area Launched to assist a broken down, white hulled 16 foot boat reportedly drifting between Armchair Rock and Black Rock but in the area of Goodrington Sands.Boat located in the middle of the bay and drifting in an offshore direction. The boat was towed back to Brixham.

Following on directly from Shout 12, the ALB was then tasked straight away to assist two young paddleboarders on one board being blown offshore at Hollicombe.They were picked up and safely landed at Paignton harbour.

Following on directly from Shout 11, the ALB was then tasked straight away to a yacht with engine failure approx 1.5m north-east of Berry Head.The vessel was taken in tow to Brixham where the harbour launch took over the tow.Shout 13 then came in.

ILB SHOUT 26: 24-06-2023

Incident Date24-06-2023Launch Instruct21:23Lifeboat UsedILB Location of CasualtyTorbay area Launched to assist a broken down speedboat 1.5 miles south of Torquay harbour with three males onboard. This was their first time out launching from Teignmouth also with a jet ski. The boat was towed back to Torquay and our ILB returned to station.
